One day Seminar on Kerala Eco Initiative held

One day Seminar on Kerala Eco Initiative was conducted by the D.T.P.C of Kottayam on 12th March 2005. The function was inaugrated by Sri Thomas Chazhikadan MLA and was prisided by Srimathi Rani George, the district Collector. The session aimed at imparting various eco friendly measures to the resort managers.

The sessions covered various topics like energy management, marketing potential of eco tourism, water management, waste management, greening the premises, eco friendly construction and suporting the local products.

The session on Marketing potential of Eco Tourism was taken by Sri. Dijo Thomas, the Director, Administration, of Eco Tourism India.com.

Sri M A Thomas, M Planning, Secretary, DTPC of Kottayam, lead the proceedings and was instrumental in the successful organizing of the seminar.

The validictory function was inaugurated by Hon. Minister for Irregation and Forests, Sri. Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan, and was prisided by Srimathi Ajitha Babu, the district panchayat President.
